Spring Beauty Must Haves

spring beauty products

Spring is here and I have some favorites to share with you to get your skin and looks back in the game for warm weather.  You know those things that you start using and you soon cannot live without them?  I have a few to help with dry skin, cracky heels, unwanted hair, pasty white skin, etc.  Sometimes it is hard for us to transition from Winter to Spring, cold to warm.  These items will make your transition a lot smoother, and your skin too!  Here are some of my favorite Spring beauty must haves.

Most of these products are for your skin/face, mostly because I feel like that is what takes a beating the most through the cold weather.  But I have also listed some fun things to add a little color to your life!  Check them out:

Spring Beauty Must Haves

Tree Hut Sugar Scrub – I have been using this sugar scrub for about a year now after being introduced to it by my sister.  I love everything about it, including the price.  I get mine at Ulta and pay $8 for a big container that lasts me a long time.  The selection of scents is wonderful, so many good ones.  I love how gritty it is and how soft it makes my skin, especially after shaving!

Amlactin Lotion – I posted about this miracle lotion on my Instagram not too long ago and had an amazing response from both women who have used it before and from women who really wanted to try it.  About a month ago my mom sent me home from her house with a bottle of this.  She had been to Costco and picked up am extra one because they were a great deal.  I was complaining about my pregnancy acne and she said that this lotion is wonderful and she also told me that her dermatologist highly recommended it.  (my mom always has such wonderful new things for me to try that I end up loving!)  She also stated that it is great in helping to prevent aging.  I started using it on my face that day both morning and night after I washed it and before I put on my moisturizer.  I am not kidding you, not even two days later my acne had gone away and my face was soooo smooth and soft!  Seriously, amazing!  I never want to miss a day using it because I love how it makes my skin feel!  I have also been using it on my dry, cracky heels and it has worked miracles on them too!

I have heard this is great on eczema as well.  You know those red little bumps that some people get on their upper arms?  This seems to do the trick.  This lotion is not an RX, just a lotion you can pick up at Costco!  I highly suggest trying it out for yourself!

Vitamin E Oil – A while back I was having issues with acne scarring.  You guys, I have never had acne in my life except for the past year.  Well, I was talking to my friend Jenna, who has such a beautiful face.  She mentioned that she adds a drop of Vitamin E oil to her moisturizer and it should help with scarring/dryness.  I immediately went and picked some up at Good Earth and began adding some to my moisturizer.  I have noticed a huge difference.  I have also been putting a little bit on a scar I have on my chest and have noticed it’s help the scar to be less noticeable.  I love the way it moisturizes my face and is a great prep for my foundation.  I am also hoping that this helps clear up those sun spots from when I was a teen!

Tinkle Razor – Lets get a little up-close and personal here.  Have you ever been in your car looking in the mirror at yourself and the sun hits your face just right … and by right I mean it’s glaring off of your facial hair?  “Oh my gosh!” you think to yourself, “How long has all this peach fuzz been there? Or better yet, how long is this peach fuzz?”!!  I had a moment like that not too long ago, since I have been pregnant.  I think that my pregnancy hormones have caused the fuzz on the sides of my cheeks to grow a lot faster, and longer!  Sometimes we, ourselves don’t notice it but everyone else does.  Don’t be one of those people who don’t notice!  Save yourself some embarrassment!

I have been using a Tinkle Razor since last summer on my upper-lip and eyebrow area and have loved it.  I don’t wax on my face at all, just use this.  Every Sunday I get out my razor and do a quick check on this unwanted fuzz and growth between the eyes.  I do it every Sunday so that I am fresh for the week and more importantly, so I don’t forget.  I have only recently been lightly doing the razor on my cheek and jaw area, back by my ears.  I feel so much better now knowing that I won’t get people staring at my fuzz when the light hits me just right!  You don’t need water or shaving cream, just a dry razor and it only takes a second.  You will love how well your makeup goes on when your face is not fuzzy!

Tomas Spray Tanner – Okay you guys, here is the kicker.  If you feel like you are pasty white and need a little bronze to your skin when you first wear those shorts or skirts this Spring, spray a little of this tanner on and you are good to go.  I have been using this for a year, mostly in the Winters.  I mostly wear this on my face when I just look sick and pale in the Winter months.  I talk a little more about it HERE.  Basically it’s a spray in a bottle and I just spray a little around the outside of my face to give a little color and contour.  It washes off later that night when you wash your face or body, so it is temporary.  I just love how it goes on and how it wears.  It doesn’t look fake (as long as you don’t put a lot on).  I buy mine at Sally’s and it lasts a good, long while.  Pick some up, I promise you that you will love having it on hand on those days you look like you are sick!

ELF Lipstick/Blush – You have probably heard me talk about this before, my favorite lip secret!  This HD liquid blush makes the BEST lip stain around.  Pay $3 for it and love it like you would love a $50 lip stain.  The color is awesome, especially for Spring and guess what?  It stays on allllll day!  It goes on like a matte and is so light it’s like you have nothing on.  It dries well so you won’t see it wiping off on your glass as you take a drink.  I like to put a little gloss over the top to make it shine a bit.  But seriously, pick it up and try it, you have nothing to lose!  I buy the color Diva.

NYX Lipstick – I carry this around with me wherever I go.  Apple strudel is the perfect color to throw on with any outfit because the color is perfect and great for Spring.  The gloss is great, love the shine.  That’s all I really need to say about that…

Miracle Gel by Sally Hansen – Have you heard of this?  It is like gel without the light!  If your toes aren’t painted yet, you need to try this out for Spring since you will now be wearing open-toed shoes!  This is a two-step process, the gel color and a top coat, which cures it.  You do need a little natural light to do this, so let it dry in the sun.  The color options are endless!  And if you need a cute nail tutorial, look HERE.

The Sock Bun – Okay, lets be honest, some days we just don’t feel like washing our hair.  Welcome to the sock bun –  way for you to hide your dirty hair while still looking cute!  This style is a great one for Spring, up out of your face, up off of your neck to you keep cooler.  Everyone that has long enough hair needs to own a sock bun donut.

Those are just a few of my favorite Spring beauty must haves.  I would love to know what you cannot live without in the Spring.  Can you please share in the comments?

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
