Hey all!  What are you guys all doing in the next month?  We are headed to California and could not be more excited!  As a family, we have been preparing things for our trip to get us stoked, especially the kids.  We have been planning itineraries, deciding what to pack, and scoping out deals.  I will be posting soon about our California Adventures, but first check out some of the things we have been up to and what we have planned for our trip.

We originally booked our trip for the last part of February, which would have been great (read a little HERE).  About 3 days before we were to fly out we looked at the weather in Anaheim and three out of the four days there it showed rain!  Eeek!  We were supposed to be escaping Utah’s cold winter weather for hot, California sunshine!  Luckily, because we booked through Getaway Today and had purchased their Peace of Mind Plan.  It is basically travel insurance that allows you to make changes to your trip or even cancel completely without the extra fees.  So, we booked our trip for a time when we knew the chances of sunshine were much more!

I made our girls a fun Mickey Countdown, that you can check out HERE.  There are also other fun countdowns that I found HERE.  We have been counting down in so many ways…Getaway Today sent us a little package with fun stuff in it to get us excited for our trip and guess what was in it??  Another countdown!  It has been pretty fun because each day you take something off it has something written on the back to prepare you for your trip.  My girls have loved it.  We also received a little backpack to take on our trip, some luggage tags, a few lanyards to keep our Disney tickets in, and more.

We are planning on going to Disneyland and California Adventures for three days while we are in California.  We will be visiting the beach the other day we will be there.  I cannot wait, it will be so much fun!  Disneyland is always having fun, special events.  If you are planning on going after May a new event will be taking place, the Diamond Celebration.  What’s that?  Here is what to expect:
