Key Lime Ice Cream Pie {3 ingredients}

“This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Fruttare, but all my opinions are my own. #itsallgood #pmedia  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

 BBQ season is in full swing and we plan on doing lots of entertaining at our house this summer.  I picked up some Fruttare Bars for the girls to eat while outside playing and they loved them.  A few days later we ended up having guests over and I wanted to whip something quick up for a dessert.  I had Lime Fruttare bars on hand and decided to make
some Key Lime Ice Cream Pie with them.  That is when this recipe was born!

The things I love about this recipe is it only requires three ingredients, it’s easy to make, and it is delicious!

Key Lime Ice Cream Pie
made with Fruttare Lime Bars

Ingredients:
Fruttare Lime Bars (1 box – 6 bars)
Graham Cracker Crust
Whip Cream

Melt bars in a bowl.  Once melted stir in 1/2 C. whip cream until mixed well (I used home made whip cream with whipping cream and powdered sugar).  Pour mixture into a graham cracker crust (I used store bought but you can make your own with crushed graham crackers and melted butter).  Cover and put in the freezer until frozen solid.  Before serving, let thaw at least 5 minutes.  Top with remaining whip cream.

I just sat my bars outside to melt but you can also melt them in the microwave!

 This treat is so refreshing because the taste of lime is just perfect and its cold enough to cool you down on a hot summer day.  I chose to mix whip cream in with the melted bars so that it would give the pie a creamy consistency.
 My girls have loved eating the strawberry bars.  In fact, when I took these pictures it wasn’t even warm outside but they still wanted to eat them!  I am comfortable with them eating Fruttare bars a lot this summer because they are made with real fruit.  Another reason why I love these for myself is because they only have 70 calories per bar!

Fruttare bars come in a variety of flavors like Strawberry & Milk, Peach & Milk, Banana & Milk, Black Cherry, Pineapple, Lime, and more!  I bought strawberry and lime but will soon be heading back to Walmart to get more flavors!  You can find these at most grocery stores nationwide.  Follow along with Fruttare on Facebook.

Hey, I'm Kami!

Welcome to the blog

Wife to my Jr. High sweetheart, mother to three daughters. I have always loved being social and staying connected with other people who have similar interests to me. I started a blog back in 2010 and have been in the social networking scene since then. I love meeting new people and helping them feel confident, and see their own beauty.
